Interview with: Cody Stevenson('17)

Congratulations to Kennedy baseball player Cody Stevenson, who has just committed to San Jose State for college, playing the position of second base and middle in fielder. Stevenson has been playing baseball since he was 3 years old, he always had a baseball in hand.  Some people might be wondering how Cody got to the position where colleges have recruited him. 


Q: How old were you when you started playing baseball?

A: “I was three years old when I first started playing baseball.”


Q: Are you planning on playing baseball in college?

A: “I’m actually committed to San Jose State to play baseball!”


Q: Have you ever had an injury throughout the years you’ve been playing?

A: “Yeah, I broke my thumb.”


Q: What team do you hope to play if you get into the MLB?

A: “I hope to play for the Red Sox just because I think they have one of the best fields in the league and the Red Sox is one of my favorite teams.”


Q: What are your top 3 favorite baseball teams?

A: “My favorite teams would have to be the Red Sox, Dodgers, and the Marlins.”


Q: What year of high school did you start playing for varsity?

A: “I was a freshman when I started playing for Var.”   


Q: What are some of the things you had to do to get to where you are now?

A: “I had to play a lot of summer ball and travel to places like Arizona, LA, and San Diego. Usually a lot of scouts are at the games so you can get recruited."
