DIY Eggnog Latte

Christmas is a time where friends and family get together and get in the holiday spirit; it is also a time to drink  and eat festive food and beverages. When people think of eggnog, they associate it with the holidays. This eggnog latte recipe is sure to fit your festive cravings and keep you warm during Christmas.



  • ½ cup of boiling water

  • ½ cup of eggnog

  • 1-2 teaspoons of your favorite espresso powder

  • ¼ cup of milk

  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

  • A pinch of nutmeg (plus more for dusting)

  • ⅛ teaspoon of ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon of sugar (preferably brown sugar)

  • Whipped cream (optional)




  1. Combine the boiling water and espresso powder in a cup and set aside

  2. With the stove on low, use a pot and mix in the eggnog, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg and sugar, stir or whisk until all the ingredients are combined

  3. Keep stirring for about five minutes or until the milk starts to froth up  

  4. While stirring in the eggnog mixture, slowly pour in the coffee

  5. Pour it in your favorite mug

  6. If you want, you can top it off with whipped cream and dust it with nutmeg
