Have you been wondering lately where to go next time you want take out? Well, facing that same crisis, I visited two restaurants who all had great reviews on the famous rating website, Yelp. Keep on reading to find out whether these places have food that you should taste, or diss and waste.


Falafel Drive in

Location: 2301 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95128


What I ordered:


  • Falafel:
  • Somewhat spicy
  • Really good authentic Afghan taste& fulfilling& came in huge proportion
  • Pita Chips:
  • Nice taste: lemon, cilantro, and overall savory
  • Strawberry, banana, and chocolate shakes:         
  • Tasted very creamy and just the right amount of sweetness

Best dish: Falafel

Worst dish: Nothing

Taste or waste? Definitely taste!!! I recommend visiting this place and tasting their extremely affordable and delicious food!





Jewel of India
Location: 2634 Alum Rock Ave, San Jose, CA 95116

What I ordered:


  • Tandoori Chicken:
  • Marinated chicken consisting of yogurt and assorted Indian spices
  • Chicken quality was good
  • Overall great taste
  • Naan:
  • Tandoor baked tortilla/ roti; fluffy yet thick
  • Great taste when paired with the tandoori chicken
  • Samosa Chaat:
  • Extremely flavor-full
  • Consisted of two samosas covered with garbanzo beans, yogurt, and tamarind mint chutney
  • All flavors mixed well with each other
  • Pineapple, Chocolate, and black forest cakes:
  • Tasted exactly like authentic Indian Cake
  • Dry yet tasty
  • Assorted mithai (sweets/ delicacies):
  • Sweet and nice to eat
  • Very colorful
  • Chicken pakora:
  • Was okay to eat
  • Soft and not crunchy/ firm like most pakoras
  • Vegetarian biryani:
  • Was somewhat spicy, yet plain
  • Consisted of: rice, peas, carrots
  • Shahi Paneer:
  • Best vegetarian dish I’ve tried so far
  • Consisted of Indian cottage cheese covered in gravy
  • Sauce was very tasty

Best dish: Tandoori Chicken

Worst dish: Chicken Pakora
