The BEST School Tips During Quarantine
By Keanu Lim
Many students in school are struggling due to the inconvenience of online learning because of covid-19. Students nowadays just can’t get motivated to do their work and some fall behind an in person teacher. If this is you, you’ve come to the right place! Here are the absolute BEST tips that will help you excel in your online classes!
Save your homework until the last day
Many teachers tell you to not procrastinate and start work early and to never do it on the last day. Well they’re completely wrong. Saving all of your work on the last is the best option and here’s why: When you wait until the last minute to do your work, you’ll complete in much faster than when you split it up, and that’s a fact. This is proven by Parkinson's Law, which states that “work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion." This can easily be translated to: Save your work until the last minute. If you still think you can’t get your work done all in one day, just believe in yourself!
Wear a mask during Zoom class
This tip is one of the best pieces of advice anyone can ever give you during these tough times. As you know, masks can protect us from getting covid-19 and prevent others from spreading it. Masks are required in all sorts of places like stores, restaurants, and even outside. Your Zoom class should be no exception. If someone that has covid-19 coughs into their computer, it will come through their computer and out of your speakers. Not only can you get a virus when you’re not wearing a mask, but your computer can get one too!
Always search up your homework and test questions on the internet
Homework online can be one of the most overwhelming things you can do right now, but thankfully I’m here to help you. This tip involves an application called Google, not sure if you’ve heard of it or not. What Google can do is provide you with answers to all of your questions just by asking them in the search bar. It can solve anything from your math problems to your English packet and much more. With Google, you can easily complete your homework and tests with all the right answers in no time!
Drop out of school
My final tip for you is to drop out of school. You may be a bit confused about this tip, but hear me out. If you drop out of school, you’ll be free of all the studying and work that you have to do. You can do whatever you want and since you won't be in school, you’ll have seven more hours of extra time. The best part is that you get to sleep in without having to worry about waking up ever.
Now that you know these tips, use them whenever you want! Not only can these pieces of advice help you in school, but these are also life lessons that stick with you forever. I hope you use this information wisely and good luck with school!
